Accepted!

I have been accepted into Massey University in Wellington, NZ!! 


I'm on an adrenaline high right now!!! This was my first choice, and it is basically the art school of New Zealand, not to mention the art supervisor of The Lord of the Rings went here...but that's just a small detail...


Now that I have been accepted there is much to do. I have to pick my classes, pay to secure my spot, submit forms, send copies of things...etc, but I will enjoy every moment because it means I am one step closer!! 


Thank you family and friends for supporting me through this whole process, and thank you God for the blessing you give me every single day!!!

Drawing 1 Class - First Semester of Freshman year: 
I had always worked with graphite. It was good to experiment with charcoal. Now it's one of my favorite mediums to work in  (especially since you can get so messy and dirty!)

Drawing 2 Class - Second Semester of Freshman Year: 

This picture was a 5 minute sketch done on newsprint. I always enjoy getting crazy and messy with sketches. It's always very freeing not to have to pay attention to the exact shape and neatness of the object. Quick sketches like this definitely allowed me to do that.

Painting 1 Class - First semester of Sophomore year: I had really only dabbled in painting before. Kinda struggled with the first picture (the candles...yikes)...

First Post!

So I figured I would start a blog for my trip to NZ in the fall. From fear of failing, I decided I should google "how to write a witty blog". Then I came across this quote:

"Blogging is best learned by blogging..."


Bummer. 

Well, I'm not going to ramble on and on about my hopes and dreams for this trip, or make a detailed list of everything I'm planning on doing, but here are the basics:
